State Approval
Delaware Defensive Driving offers two approved defensive driving courses,a 6-hour course and a 3-hour course. These courses are designed to help drivers receive insurance discounts and are approved by the Delaware Insurance Commissioner. NDSS also offers a Delaware Aggressive Driver Course.This course is approved by the state to satisfy the Aggressive Driving Behavior Modification/Attitudinal Driving program requirement.
Course Available
Delaware Defensive Driving 10% Auto Liability Insurance Reduction Basic Course
Complete this course and receive an auto insurance reduction for a full 3 years. You will also receive a 3-point credit on your Delaware driving record. On a case by case basis, DMV may consider this credit when determining driver penalties.
This 6-hour basic course is approved by the State of Delaware Department of Insurance.
Delaware Defensive Driving 3-year Refresher/Renewal Course
Complete this course to receive a 15% reduction on your auto liability insurance for an additional 3 years.The 3 point DMV Delaware Driving record credit will also be extended for an additional 3 years. This renewal course may be taken within 90 days prior to the expiration of your 6 hour basic course benefits or within the 2 years following the expiration of your 6 hour basic course benefits.
This 3-hour renewal course is approved by the State of Delaware Department of Insurance.
Delaware Aggresive Driver Course
Complete this course if you have been cited as an aggressive driver by the DMV and have been instructed to complete an Aggressive Driving Behavior Modification/Attitudinal Driving Program.
This course is approved by the state of Delaware.
Course Information
Delaware Defensive Driving has a unique content and structure. It is a 6 hour course with 8 units, each chapter outlining a particular aspect of safe-driving practice. The Delaware Defensive Driving course highlights important driving strategies like sharing the road, following the right lane, and obeying Delaware-specific DUI/DWI rules and regulations. The Delaware Defensive Driving also discusses the challenges of driving in different environments. At the end of each chapter you will find a quiz section that will test your knowledge of the materials of the chapter you had just finished. These quizzes will not affect your Final Exam score.

Final Exam
After finishing the 8 units, you will need to clear a 25 question Final Exam with a score of 70%.
