The Maine Bureau of Highway Safety approves the Maine Defensive Driving Course.
Course Available
Successful completion of the Maine Defensive Driving Course will make you eligible to receive a 3-point demerit credit on your driver record. If you are 55 years of age or older you can use this course to qualify you for an insurance discount.
Course Information
The 6-hour Maine Defensive Driving combines education and entertainment. You are educated by a state-approved Maine Traffic School curriculum which informs and instructs you about various factors of safe driving. The course covers issues like driving in the city, outside it, in rush hour traffic, on sharp curves, and in tough weather.
Enjoy the fun and instructive Maine Defensive Driving Course through a host of graphics, animations, video and audio features. You will be able to make use of the 10-question quizzes on the material presented at the end of each of the 8 units of the Maine Defensive Driving Course.
Final Exam
To pass you will need to answer at least 40 of the 50 questions correctly in the Final Exam. Maine Traffic School exam is based completely on the materials you have studied in the Maine Defensive Driving Course.
Course Completion Certificate
When you have completed the Maine Defensive Driving course and passed the final exam, well will send your Certificate of Completion directly to the DMV electronically. Certificates are sent out each weekday.
